Valuing Biodiversity in a Rapidly Changing World
Healy Hamilton, Director, Center for Applied Biodiversity
Informatics, California Academy of Sciences
Biodiversity is the foundation of human economic and ecological
well being. As our world changes ever more rapidly, our dependence
upon biodiversity will only increase in ways that are vastly
underappreciated. We will discuss the renewed importance of
conserving Earth’s biological heritage, and the evolving role
of educators and citizens in the most innovative conservation
efforts of our time.
